William "Bill" Evans

William “Bill” Evans, age 84, died peacefully on February 18, 2024. Bill was born on May 17, 1939, in Steubenville, Ohio to parents William and Helen (Anderson). Bill is preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Susan (Brucker).

Bill graduated from Steubenville High School and subsequently obtained his bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University. He was a golf lover and greatly enjoyed dogs. Bill and Sue were active in the rescue of retired racing greyhounds. Most of all, Bill was an avid, lifelong fan of Steubenville Big Red Football and Ohio State Football.

Bill is survived by his four children: Bevan Evans, Mary Miller (Jim), William Evans (Monica), and Brad Evans (Kristen), and six grandchildren: Rachel (Lucas), Dan (Erin), Emma (Dan), Meredith, Tyler, Nathan, Kari, and Ellie, and one great-grandchild, Carter.
