Thomas F. Lynett died on February 26, 2022. A former Akron Police officer and retired Akron Municipal Court Magistrate and attorney, he was a member of the American Bar Association, Akron Bar Association, VFW Post #3383, Knights of Columbus #3410, American Legion Post #449 and the Mark Heffernan Division of the Ancient Order of Hibernians.
A lifelong resident of Akron, he was a graduate of St. Vincent High School, The Akron Law School and a US Navy veteran of World War II.
Tom was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Eileen Harrison Lynett; son, Thomas F. Lynett III; son-in-law, Joe Clark; sisters, Kathleen Keller and Margaret Whelan; and parents, Madeleine and Thomas F. Lynett. He is survived by daughter, Anne Clark; son, Gregory (Debbie) Lynett; granddaughters, Colleen Lynett and Kelsey (Bryan) Ford; great grandson, Hugh Lynett Ford; brother, John J. Lynett; and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours 4-7 pm Friday March 4th at Ciriello and Carr Funeral Home, 39 S. Miller Rd. in Fairlawn.
Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am Saturday March 5th at St. Hilary Catholic Church.
Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
