Thomas “Curly” LoCascio passed unexpectedly in August 2024 of natural causes. Tom was born in Akron on February 24,1956 and graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1973. He remained a long-time Cuyahoga Falls resident. Tom was a machinist by trade, but a musician at heart. He consumed music at all levels: listening, creating, and attending live shows with friends. Tom ran marathons as a young man, enjoyed bicycling, hiking, and was a student of martial arts for over 30 years. On a warm day you could find Tom riding his Harley to a classic car show. He was an avid reader and attended Saint Vincent's Church.
Tom was preceded in death by his father Anthony LoCascio, stepfather Gilbert Lutz, sister Orsola LoCascio, and nephew Kevin Arway.
Tom is survived by daughters Carmella Stirrat (Christopher) and Aubrey Hillbery (Jacob), grandsons Samuel and Augustus, mother Mary Lutz, sister Ann LoCascio, nephew Padraic Arway (Amanda), niece-in-law Traci Arway, great nieces and great nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024, from 10:00am to 12:00pm immediately followed by a Celebration of Life service at Ciriello and Carr Funeral Home on 810 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221 and burial at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron.
