Sandra Lee Endress

Sandra Lee Endress, 76, passed away Monday, January 17, 2022, in Columbus, OH. She was born April 21, 1945, in Akron, OH, daughter of the late William and Billie Abney.

Shortly after graduation from Coventry HS, she married Ned Endress II May 2, 1964, and they were at each other’s side until Ned’s death June 27, 2017. They had 2 sons and 5 grandchildren.

She appreciated how the Endress family welcomed her. She loved her in-laws, Ned I, Eileen, Terry (Gail), Susan and Patrick. She was thankful that Judy and Tim Rainey stood for her marriage ceremony.

Sandy worked as an executive secretary and realtor. She dabbled in many hobbies (home decorating, golf, bowling, real estate, etc) but seemed most happy at her son’s ball games or school events. She did all she could to support her son’s development and her husband’s career.

She enjoyed every minute she spent with her sister Debbi, niece and nephews.

Her greatest pleasure in life became her 5 grandchildren. Each was her favorite until the next one was born. She so enjoyed discussing them (between visits) with anyone who would listen. She was proud of the parents Jason and Melissa became.

In 2005, Ned and Sandy retired to Miramar Beach (Destin) Florida where they lived out their lives in the sun, on the beach and golf course, eating and drinking well and checking out the latest real estate listing.

She is survived by her 2 sons, Ned III and Jason (Melissa); grandchildren, Sarah, Jason II, Jacob, Isabella & Remy; sister, Deborah Wilson (Ken Roa); nephews, Joshua Wilson (Noah), Jonathan Wilson and Janz Baragry.

She was preceded in death by husband, Ned II; parents, William and Billie Abney; uncle, Harold Abney (Violet), and niece, Billie Jo Wilson.

Calling hours will be Friday, January 28, from 11-1 at Ciriello & Carr in Fairlawn, OH. A brief service will follow for family members only.
