Roy Comiono

Roy Comiono,94, passed away peacefully May 31, 2023. Born in Akron, he graduated from North High School in 1948 and was a lifelong resident of Bath, Ohio. He was a US Army Veteran who retired from Goodyear Aerospace after many years of service as a Quality Control Supervisor. He was a member of Guardian Angels Church, Akron Kirby Club and Knights of Columbus.

Roy will be remembered for his devotion to his wife, Sadie and generosity to family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sadie (Nemer) Comiono; brother, Roxy Comiono; sisters, Dolores Griffin and Mary King; brother-in-law, Adib (Doy) Nemer; sisters-in-law, Julia McPherson, Freda Webber, Ada Mae Kukral and Louise Mabius.

He is survived by many nieces and nephews; Shirley Scott, Donald McPherson (Linda), Rick Nemer, Nanci Schlegel (Paul), Gail Paden (Dave), Mike Kukral, Ron Webber (Kathy), Laura Zak (Chris), Linda McCain, Mary Forsch, Larry Mabius (Kathy), Pam Franck (Sheldon), David Comiono (Jan), John Comiono, Dennis King, Patti Watkins (Dale), and Susan Griffin.

Calling hours 4-8p.m. Friday, June 9, 2023 at Ciriello and Carr Funeral Home, 39 S. Miller Rd. in Fairlawn. Mass of Christian Burial 12:30p.m. Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Guardian Angels Catholic Church. Entombment at Rose Hill Burial Park with full military honors.
