Rose Marie Conger

Rose Marie Conger, (age 83) passed away peacefully March 4th after a short illness. 

Born in Shinnston, WV to Sam and Sophie Belcastro, she graduated from Shinnston High School in 1955. She earned a Bachelor of Music Education with a voice major in 1959 from The College of Mount St. Joseph in Cincinnati. She taught elementary music for Akron Public Schools and choral and general music for the Woodridge School District. She loved teaching and helping students to reach their full potential and make music an important part of their lives. 

Rose Marie was a devoted wife, mom and nana to her family. She loved to cook big meals and bake cookies with her grandchildren. She was a long time member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church where she enjoyed singing with the choir. 

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Robert Conger; her children, Beth (Brad) Fischer, Bob (Michelle) Conger; and her grandchildren, Nick Fischer, Drew Conger, Andrea Fischer, and Matt Conger, also dear cousins and friends. She will be forever loved and missed. 

A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held, interment at Northampton Cemetery.
