It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert George Davis (Willis) who passed away on March 12, 2025, in his beloved hometown of Akron, Ohio. He was born on October 26, 1947, and was a cherished son, father, brother, and friend.
Robert was the son of Robert C. Davis and Laura E. Davis. He was preceded in death by his beloved brother, Gerald W. Davis, and his sister, Carol A. Dennewitz
Robert graduated from Garfield High School in 1965. After high school, Robert pursued his passion for craftsmanship by attending a Tool and Die Trade School. His skills would later serve him well in his career as a Tool and Die Maker, a profession he took immense pride in.
Robert was also a proud veteran, having served in the U.S. Army in Fairbanks, Alaska, for 18 months.
In addition to his professional pursuits, Robert had a deep love for sports. He spent many joyful hours playing softball and golf, and he took pride in his impressive collection of sports memorabilia. His passion for sports was not just a hobby; it was a way for him to connect with friends and family, sharing laughter and creating lasting memories.
Robert is survived by his son, Jonathan Davis, daughter-in-law, Claudia Davis, granddaughter, Hanna Davis, and grandson, Jacob Davis. He is also survived by his brother, Carl Davis, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Calling Hours for Robert will be held at Ciriello and Carr Funeral Home 39 South Miller Road Fairlawn Ohio, 44333 on Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and will be followed by a brief memorial service. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate Robert’s life and the lasting impact he made on all who knew him.
