Obituary

Reverend Frank N. Staley

February 27, 1940 ~ March 22, 2023 (age 83)

On March 22, 2023, Reverend Frank N. Staley of Medina, Ohio, passed away and is peacefully awaiting the return of our lord and savior, Jesus Christ.

Rev. Staley was born to Lester and Eleanor Staley in Arkansas City, Kansas. He was one of six children and was a lifelong fan of the University of Kansas (KU) Jayhawks. He did all sorts of odd jobs growing up, but becoming a golf caddy was his favorite. While attending community college as a first-generation college student, Rev. Staley became a scratch golfer and a State Champion. He also placed fourth in the nation.

Rev. Staley earned an associate’s degree from community college and went on to graduate from KU with a bachelor’s degree in business education. It was at KU that he met and married his wife of fifty-six years, Janine Shari (“Shari”).

Rev. Staley later took the foundational class on Power for Abundant Living offered by The Way International, a non-denominational Biblical research, teaching, and fellowship ministry. Years later, he and Shari welcomed the birth of their first daughter, Erin.

In the mid-70s, the Staleys went to work for the ministry in the State of Illinois and were soon invited to be on Staff at The Way International Headquarters in New Knoxville, Ohio. The Staleys welcomed the birth of their second daughter, Cara, and were later invited to enter The Way Corps training program. This leadership program prepares men and women to serve as able ministers of the Lord Jesus Christ for a lifetime.

Upon graduation, Rev. Staley coordinated three departments (Flight Services, Insurance, and Transportation) and then the ministry’s work in the State of New York. In 1995, he was ordained to the Christian ministry.

Rev. Staley and his family returned to Headquarters to serve in The Way of the U.S.A. Office. Since his retirement, he and Shari welcomed Daniel, their son-in-law, to the family. A special blessing was the birth of their beloved grandson.

We are thankful for Rev. Staley’s unwavering faithfulness in service to God. He was actively involved in showing people the love of God, how to understand the Bible, and how to reach their highest potential. He lived his favorite verse:

Galatians 6:10:

As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
