Raul Acevedo Obituary

Raul Acevedo, 64, of Cuyahoga Falls, OH passed away peacefully on March 31, 2026 at Justin
T. Rodgers Hospice Care Center. Born on November 17, 1961 in Brooklyn, New York, he was
the son of the late Blanca Agront and Ramon Acevedo.

Known for his larger than life coffee mugs and easygoing smile, Raul was a beloved presence in
the lives of those around him. Whether he greeted you with one of his special nicknames or
showed you his collection of oddities, it was how he shared himself with others. If you needed
your computer fixed or wanted to cruise down I-95 at the speed of light, Raul was only a phone
call away. Like a true New Yorker, he loved his pizza—but more importantly he loved spending
time with his grandkids. In life he was many things, but in our hearts he was simply, profoundly
loved.

In addition to his parents, Raul was predeceased by his brothers Raymond Acevedo and Edwin
Acevedo. Raul is survived by his wife Yvette Acevedo, daughter Melinda Hobbs (Kevin),
grandchildren Brayden and Ariana Hobbs, brother Alberto Acevedo, and a host of nieces,
nephews, sisters-in-laws, and brothers-in-laws.
