Peter W. Tavolier

Peter W Tavolier, 95, passed away on December 12th escorted on the wings of his beloved daughter Darcy, into the arms of his adored wife and his awaiting sons.

Peter grew up in North Hill it was a proud graduate of North High. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and went on to graduate from the University of Akron where he would eventually be a past President of their Alumni Association . He was so proud that he became the preside of each organization he was a part of. He worked in the insurance and tire fields but made his living in the tape and label industry. Along side his wife Sweetie, he would proclaim his biggest accomplishments were the children they raised and the 18 grandchildren that followed, who, all proudly call him their “Best Friend” and mentor. Together they instilled their love of faith, life, laughter and most importantly family! He lived his life to the fullest each and every day. In his wisdom he imparted upon us the knowledge that "the business of life is the acquisition of memories and in the end that's all there is".

He is remembered and celebrated by his legacy: Pam (Chris) Tavolier, Michele (Don) Petush, Michael (Carolyn) Tavolier, Mary Alice (Pete) Bell, Peter A.Tavolier, Brian Tavolier, Barry (Betsy) Tavolier and Buffy (Mac) McDermott. His adoring grandchildren, Emily (Brian) Jarzenski, Rachel (Corey) Linke, David Tavolier, Ethan Tavolier, Olivia (Zach) Longanecker, Erin (David) Claibourne, Katie (Mike) Heuer, Matthew Petush, Makenzie Bell, Hayley Bell, Peter Bell, Brian Wm. Tavolier, Katie Tavolier, Elizabeth Tavolier, Blythe McDermott, Tess McDermott, Owen McDermott and Collin McDermott and 13 Great Grandchildren. Sisters in law Helen Conway and Cathy Mehok.

Calling Hours are Sunday, December 19th, noon-4:00, Ciriello and Carr Funeral Home, Miller Rd.in Fairlawn. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, Dec. 20th at 11:00 at St. Hilary Catholic Church followed by a private burial. Our family would like to thank his caregivers Theresa and Corla, and especially Our Brothers Peter and Brian for their unwavering devotion and selfless care of our dad.
