Paul Guenther, 82, of Cuyahoga Falls passed away February 2, 2024.
Paul was born the second eldest of 12 siblings. Paul was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He
was a faithful member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.
Paul was an automotive mechanic for Thompson Pontiac and Lambert Buick for many years. He enjoyed
traveling with his wife, Mary Ann, going to the horse races with his brother, Ray, and delivering mulch
with his brother, Pat.
Paul is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann; parents, Clyde and Helen Guenther; father-in-law and
mother-in-law, Robert and Frances Violette; brother, Joseph Guenther; sister and brother-in-law, Valerie
and Dale Kriz; brothers-in-law, Louis Dirker and Kevin Quinn; nephew, Richard (R.J.) Vatalaro and niece,
Amanda Violette.
He is survived by son, John (Vicki); granddaughter, Alexandrea (Kris) Maruna; great-grandson, Knox
Maruna; brothers, Ray (Irene), Mike (Megan), Patrick (Kay); sisters, Mary (Chuck) Scheatzle, Maria
(Richard) Schaaf, Miriam Dirker, Anne (Ron) Vatalaro, Pamela (Jim) Procaccio, and Rose Quinn; brothers-
in-law, Rob (Pat) Violette, David (Debbie) Violette and John Violette; sister-in-law, Patricia (Levente)
Batizy; and many other loving nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to the staff of the memory care unit at the Village of St. Edward for the many years of
care and the hospice team, nurses and aides at Western Reserve Hospital (Cuyahoga Falls).
Mass of Chrisitan Burial will be held Thursday, February 8 th at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary
Church, 1905 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls. Visitation will be held prior to service on Thursday at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society at Immaculate Heart of
Mary Church.
