Patty Merlitti , 74, of Doylestown entered into rest peacefully surrounded by her children on May 9th, 2026.
Patty was born on July 3rd, 1951, in Jonesville Virginia. A devout Catholic who retired from Sts. Peter and Paul School with more than 25 years of service. Patty enjoyed Spaghetti Sundays with her family, welcoming everyone, "Enter as friends, leave as family". She loved a good cup of coffee, traveling, concerts and festivals with her children. She created many cherished memories with her grandchildren.
Proceeded in death by her parents Ilse and James Cantor, true love Dominic Merlitti Jr, brothers, James Jr., Daniel and sister Monika. Patty will be dearly missed by her children, Christa (Mark), Brunelle Denise (Jon) Jones, Gina (Jimmy) Windows and Dominic III, her grandchildren Mark Jr., Sammy, Giavanna and Vinnie, brother Eric (Dorothy), sisters in law, Candy and Mary Cantor. She also leaves many nieces, nephews' cousins and friends.
"She was simply the best, better than all the rest".
Calling hours will be this Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Ciriello & Carr Funeral Home Chapel, 39 S. Miller Rd., Fairlawn, Ohio 44333. A Mass of Christian Burial is Friday, May 15, 2026, at 11:00am at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 161 W. Clinton Street, Doylestown, Ohio 44230. Friends may call one hour prior of mass at 10am.
Interment immediately following at Holy Cross Cemetery, Akron. Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
