Patricia A Lionetti September 26, 1936-June 14, 2023
Patricia "Patty" "Pat" transitioned peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on the morning of Wednesday, June 14. Pat was born on September 26th, 1936 in Akron to Elmer and Rose (Perri) Lighthill. She was a graduate of North High School. She met the love of her life, Anthony Lionetti, at a neighborhood picnic, and they have since celebrated over 61 years of marriage. She dedicated her life to her children and family. She is preceded in death by her parents and her beloved sister, MaryJean Bonanno.
Pat is best remembered for her giant, gentle and radiant heart - as a family oriented, loving and caring wife, sister, mother, grandmother and friend. Pat poured her heart into raising her two daughters and also caring for her four grandchildren. With her magnetic and loving energy, she spread joy to all she touched in her many pursuits. She volunteered with her children's schools , worked in retail for several years and at a local bakery. She created a beautiful home, always welcoming her family and her many friends. She enjoyed entertaining and her many other hobbies, including cooking, baking, gardening, reading, and tennis. She had an impeccable sense of fashion. She and her husband Tony always stole the dance floor, and have been "jitter-bugging" even through her final days..especially to the music of Louis Prima.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Tony. She has been blessed by his unconditional and relentless love and care for her through her more than ten years battling the progressive stages of Alzheimers. She is also survived by her beloved daughters and grandchildren, Jill Lionetti, Cory and Joshua Brebant, and Tricia Lionetti, Simon and Charlie Pensom. She is survived also by her brother, Tom Lighthill and his wife Connie, six nieces and nephews and her sweet dog, Noel.
A very special thanks to the staff at Vitalia Montrose and Barberton Adult Daycare. Many of them loved her dearly and treated her like family. For that we are truly blessed.
May we all remember the warmth of her smile, her contagious laughter, and may we cherish our fond memories and keep her in our hearts forever.
