Patricia A. Leone

Patricia (Patty) A. (Welch) Leone, 79 of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, passed away peacefully
on Oct. 26, 2024, in the comfort of her home with her family by her side. Patty was born
on March 30, 1945, to Robert and Kathryn Murphy Welch in Hartford Connecticut. The
family moved to Cuyahoga Falls Ohio in 1955 when The Firestone Tire & Rubber
Company transferred her father to Akron, Ohio. Patty attended Immaculate Heart of
Mary Grade School, Cuyahoga Falls High School, and University of Akron.

Patty was a pretty and petite lady who worked at Roadway Express. She then volunteered
as a playground monitor at Holy Family Catholic School where her three boys were
attending grade school. Later, she worked part time as a bookkeeper for the Pony Express
Pizza Shop in Stow, Ohio. She loved to be with her family. She was a wonderful Wife,
Mother, Aunt and Friend. Those who knew her will always have fond memories of her
St. Patrick’s Day parties at the home in Stow. She was always proud to host many family
gatherings during the holidays. She cherished all the family vacations relaxing at the
beach. She was an avid reader who loved reading her books every day. Her laughter,
smile, unselfishness, love for her family and Irish Heritage was loved and shared around
the kitchen table, which will always be remembered by everyone who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert, and Kathryn Murphy Welch. Brothers,
Peter Welch and Jim Welch, niece Kellie Welch, and in-laws Roland and Nina Leone.
Patty is survived by her loving husband Jim of 54 years, sons Bobby (Kerry) Leone of
Tallmadge, Mickey Leone and Jimmy Leone II of Akron, Ohio. She will be dearly
missed by her nieces, Chrysa (Andy) Zraik, Jamie (Craig) DeLorenzo, and Erin (Chris)
Enslow, nephew Ryan (Jennifer) Davis, and sister-in-law Diane Leone.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place on NOV 2nd at 11 am at Immaculate Heart of
Mary Church, 1905 Portage Trial, Cuyahoga Falls 44223, where family and friends may
gather from 10 a.m. until service time. Private Entombment at Chestnut Hill Cemetery in
Cuyahoga Falls. The family would like to thank the special nurses at Southern Care Hospice Services for their unwavering and gentle care.
