Patricia Jane “Pat” Hinson

Patricia Jane “Pat” Hinson (Ink), a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2024, at the age of 87. Born in Akron, Ohio, on May 30, 1937, Pat was a proud graduate of St. Vincent High School.

Pat was a longtime member of both the Altar Society and the Christ Child Society, where she dedicated many years to volunteering and serving the community. She was also incredibly proud of her work as a preschool teacher.

Known for her quick wit, sense of humor, and beautiful smile, Pat left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jane and Robert; her beloved husband, Tom, her sons, Tom and Mark, and her daughter-in-law, Kathy.

Pat is survived by her daughters, Sharon (Jeff) Beane, Chris (Larry) Hess, and Nancy (Tim) Helbig; sister, Carol Witwer; brother, Tom Ink; along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, but her love and laughter will continue to resonate in the hearts of her family and friends. The family appreciates the love and support shown during this time.

A celebration of life will be held in Pat’s honor on December 15, 2024, at 1301 Mulligan Way, Akron, Ohio, from 3:00–6:00 pm.
