Patricia Ann Clemetson

Patricia Ann Clemetson (Patti), 84, passed away peacefully at home on April 24, 2025, with her daughter and son-in-law by her side.

Patti was born September 4, 1940; the daughter of John (Jack) and Elizabeth (Libby) McBride. She was a lifelong resident of Akron where she raised four children, Michael Maloy (Robin), Timothy (Carrie) Maloy, Daniel (Jamie) Maloy and Carrie (Kevin Wenger) Swanson.

With her gift of kindness and conversation, Patti volunteered at The International Institute of Akron where she helped immigrants on the path to citizenship. After raising her children, Patti earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Development from the University of Akron. She applied her passion for helping others to her teaching career at Weaver School and Workshop where she retired in 2009.

Patti loved her family and friends. She had a wonderful smile and laugh. She would never miss an opportunity to be around those she loved. Patti’s faith was strong, and she attended mass at St. Sebastian and St. Vincent Catholic church in Akron. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Patti is preceded in death by her loving husband David Eugene Clemetson; parents, Jack and Libby McBride; brother Dennis McBride, son-in-law Eric Swanson and infant son John Maloy.

She is survived by nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; her niece and nephew, cousins and many dear friends.

Funeral Services will be held 2pm Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Ciriello & Carr Funeral Home, 39 S. Miller Rd Fairlawn, OH 44333, where friends may call from 12pm - 2pm.

Private inurnment Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
