Ornell Capatosto “Cappy” went home to be with the Lord on May 4, 2021 at 98 years of age. Ornell was born on Dec. 24, 1922 in Castel Di Sangro, Italy and emigrated to America with his family in 1928. He enlisted in the U.S. Army Air corps during WWII. After the war he found employment at Ford motor where he retired after 30 years of service. He met the love of his life Margaret at a dance and were married in 1957. After retirement he enjoyed traveling with his bride, bowling in leagues, woodcarving and gardening. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where he was “man of the year” and a true servant of the Lord. He was proud of his sacristy work and enjoyed saying rosary and sharing the gospel with the patients at Country Place every Wednesday for over twenty years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Salvatore and Terese; his brother, Cordino (Rosie) Capotosta and sisters, Gloria Starkey (Bob) and JoAnn. He is survived by his sister, Loretta Flaherty. He is also survived by his wife, of 63 years Margaret (Wanstreet) Capatosto; sons, Daniel (Carla), Matthew (Chris), and Randell (Natalie); daughters, Marla Kincaid (Mark), Carol Jiang (Yeong), and Marie Jansen (John); along with 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held at Ciriello and Carr Funeral Home, 810 Portage Tr. in Cuyahoga Falls, Saturday May 8th from 10am – 11:30am. Followed by a Noon, Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cuyahoga Falls.
Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
