Nancy J. Moore

Nancy J. Moore, 87, daughter of Francis J. and Ruby G. Appeldorn, died June 28, 2022. She was born on December 22, 1934 in Charleston, West Virginia and lived most of her life in Cuyahoga Falls.

Nancy was a member of St. Joseph Parish in Cuyahoga Falls. She graduated from Akron St. Vincent High School in 1952 and worked as a secretary at Firestone for several years before leaving to start her family. During her children's school years she was actively involved at St. Joseph School and enjoyed her bowling league and other activities at the church and school. She later rejoined the workforce at St. Thomas Hospital and retired in 2016 after 40 years with Summa Health Systems. She enjoyed bus trips, going out to eat and attending card parties with her friends from the neighborhood and from St Joseph.

Nancy was preceded in death by her daughter, Theresa; granddaughter, Shannon; brother, sister-in-law and niece, Francis R., Marilyn and Laura, and some of her dear friends. She is survived by her son, Michael, of Silver Lake; brother and sister-in-law, John and Rosemary Appeldorn, of Cuyahoga Falls, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and their families, and many friends.

Friends may call on Tuesday, July 5th from 4:30 to 7:30 pm at Ciriello and Carr Funeral Home, 810 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls. Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, July 6th 10:30am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1761 2nd Street, Cuyahoga Falls. Interment Oakwood Cemetery.
