Obituary

Moira J. Attalla passed away August 24, 2023, after a long illness. Her last moments were spent peacefully in her home in Copley, Ohio surrounded by her family and close friends.

Moira J. White - Attalla was born on June 10, 1952, in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio to John and Irene White. She grew up in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1970. She went on to have a successful career in Advertising at General Tire and moved on to P & R Associates where she was a Senior Project Manager and became an Advertising Executive for over 28 years. She made a career change to work for Chanel Company where she worked and managed the Summit Mall, May Company location.

She married Richard J. Attalla of Akron, Ohio on July 26,1998. She lovingly embraced Richard and his 5 children, their spouses and children. Moira had a zest for life, music, art and literature. She believed in supporting those that needed assistance and worked at the suicide hotline for many years volunteering her time.

She enjoyed dining and traveling with Richard, and building their beautiful home together in Copley, Ohio. She loved spending time with her brother, Ray and sister-in-law Vivian White and two nieces, Erica White and Emily (Michael Millman), brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Linda Attalla, Ted and Janice Attalla, Patrice Schott and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. She has countless friends of many years. They traveled, went to the theater and made wonderful memories together; Diane Willoughby, Cindy Algayer, Georgette and Brian Thomas, Jack and Anna Rogers, Vicky and Gary Retzer, Michelle Carol and several others that filled her life.

She loved her family and the large gatherings they hosted in their home filled with stories, games, great food and enjoyment. She loved being a part of everyone’s life and knowing how all the children and grandchildren were doing that she and Richard shared together. Moira is survived by husband Richard Attalla of 25 years, Stepdaughters and Stepsons, Denise Hendrickson, Richard Attalla Jr., Suzanne Vargas, Christine Attalla, Anthony Attalla, 11 grandchildren Adam & Audrey (Csirmaz) Hendrickson, Seth Hendrickson, Joshua Hendrickson, Elizabeth (Attalla) & Alec Gerred, Matthew Attalla, Cassandra Attalla, Madelyn Vargas, Joanna Vargas, Ashelynn Justice, Hunter Rose, and Payton Attalla. Her family paid this tribute to her, “Moira was a kind and thoughtful person. She opened her heart and her life to many people over the years and her bubbly, spunky personality was contagious. She will be sorely missed by us all.”

Her calling hours will be held Saturday, September 9th from 4-7 PM with a Memorial Service to follow at Ciriello & Carr Funeral Home, 39 S. Miller Rd. Fairlawn, Ohio 44333.
