Michael Oliphant

Michael Oliphant, journeyed to Heaven to be with Jesus at the age of 63, on June 11, 2022. In his last months, Michael was surrounded by the love of his family. 

Michael was born at Akron City Hospital on September 26, 1958, to Doris Madeline Oliphant and Richard Melville Oliphant. Michael's great joy was his children and grandchildren. If you asked him, he would say that he had the best kids in the world, and he was grateful for their devotion to the Lord. Michael was a partner of Grace Cathedral in Cuyahoga Falls. It was through Grace Cathedral that he learned Bible truth, and that he came to know the love of God. 

Prior to Michael's medical decline, he labored as an auto mechanic. He enjoyed the automobile industry thoroughly. Michael loved performing auto body paint jobs. After Michael could no longer perform the physical labor duties of working on an automobile, he took on the hobby of working on car model kits to keep his joy of the auto industry alive.

Michael will be dearly missed, but remembered for his tender, loving heart, his fantastic cooking skills, his amazing sense of humor, and his respect for God. 

Michael is preceded in death by father, Richard M. Oliphant; mother; Doris M. Oliphant; siblings; Garry, Richard, and Roxanne.

He is survived by son, Michael Oliphant; daughters, Alicia Christ, Jessica Oliphant, Gabrielle Hastings (Kevin Hastings); grandchildren, Liam and Mia Christ; special friends, Scott and Rebecca Thompson.

Calling hours 4-7p.m. Monday at Ciriello and Carr Funeral Home, 810 Portage Tr in Cuyahoga Falls, and Tuesday 10-11a.m., followed by Funeral Services at 11:00.

Private interment at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park.
