Marshall Mesecar Obituary

Marshall Mesecar passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 15, at the age of 85. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce, and his parents Bruce and Betty Mesecar and brother Kenny. Marshall is survived by sons Tim (Marlana) and Doug (Shannon); grandchildren Olivia, Paige, Wade, Rohwan, and Ellarie; his sister Carolyn, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Marshall was born and raised in South Haven and spent the majority of his life in Grand Rapids communities, such as Middleville and Caledonia. For the last two years he resided at Brookdale Montrose in Akron, Ohio where he was affectionately called “Grandpa” by the care team.

Marshall served in the U.S. Navy and then became a certified Die Maker during his thirty years working at General Motors.

Marshall enjoyed working on cars, riding his motorcycle around West Michigan with his buddies, putzing around the garage and supporting his kids and grandkids in all of their activities. He will be greatly missed.

There will be celebration of life ceremony this summer with more details to follow.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation ( https://www.t2t.org) which supports fallen 9-11 first responder families and homeless veterans
