Marsha Jean Ciborek

Marsha Jean Ciborek, age 60, passed away suddenly in her home on September 20, 2024. Born in Akron, Ohio on January 11, 1964 to Walter and Jean Ciborek, she was preceded in death by her parents and brother Robert.
Marsha is survived by her partner, Steven Herbik; daughter Kendall; fur-baby Everett; sisters Patricia (James) Strausser and Cindy (Larry) Burkett; brother Lawrence (Mary); and nieces and nephews.
Marsha’s passion for loving and caring for wild and domestic animals was reflected in her career path. Her journey led to employment by MedVet Veterinary Hospital, Valley Animal Hospital and the Akron Zoo.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no formal services. A private ceremony will be held for the immediate family. Memorials in Marsha’s name may be made to the MedVet Caregivers Foundation or the Summit County Humane Society.
