Mario Aiello

Mario Aiello (95), passed away peacefully on March 13, 2023. He is survived by his daughter, Cindy Aiello (Akron) and preceded in death by his wife, Mirella Aiello (Akron); and sisters, Elia Aiello (Akron), Guiseppina Aiello (Akron) and Antonietta Militano (Catanzaro, Italy). He was the Uncle to Teresa, Rosalba and Raffaele Militano (Catanzaro, Italy) and the cousin of Pino and Dora Aiello (Bayonne, NJ), Mimmo and Bettina Aiello (San Vito Sull’Ionio, Italy) and Antonietta Bonasera (Rome, Italy).

Mario was born on March 26, 1927 in Centrache, Italy and immigrated to the United States in 1949. He built his career in the dental industry and retired from United Dental Laboratories in 1992. During his spare time, he enjoyed gathering with friends, cooking, playing cards, soccer, traveling and trips to the casino. He charmed and entertained everyone with his story telling, wit and sense of humor. A wonderful husband and father that will be remembered for his endless love, patience and kindness.

Special thanks to our extended family of caregivers, Georgia (Georgetta), Bethanne (Bettina), Sue (Blondie), Jane (Rooster), Amber (Trouble), Cheryll and Crossroads Hospice (Brittney, Samantha, Mikayla and Eric). Additional help and support were also greatly appreciated from Maureen (Mojo), Julie (Juju), Amy (Ames), Anju and Barron. Keeping him, in the comfort of his own home, would not have been possible without the help and support of these individuals along with his favorite therapy dog (Barron).

A private service will be officiated by Father Cameron Popik.
