Margaret Jeanne Salada (Peggy)

Margaret Jeanne Salada (Peggy), 90, passed away on 24 May, 2022 to be with Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Peggy was born on 28 April, 1932 in Ambridge, PA and graduated Mount Gallitzen HS in Baden, PA in 1950. She then graduated Valedictorian as a Registered Nurse from Seton Hill College in 1954.

She relocated to Akron OH with her children in 1965 following the death of her sweetheart Bob in 1961.

She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and was ever ready to share her love and friendship with ALL that she met. Peg was an avid Facebook poster and enjoyed her Slingo, Bingo and loved her cruises and travel. She also LOVED her Ohio State Buckeyes!

Peg is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Milton and Margaret Cecelia Bearer; her husband, Robert William Salada Sr., and her son, Robert William Salada Jr. Peggy leaves behind her brother, Ray (Becky); and devoted and loving children, Tim (Susan), Mike (Marjorie), Gary, Peggy Sue (Paul). She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Elise and Bobby (Robert); Christie, Kacie, Jansen, Lucas and Lewis (Tim); Shawn (Mike); Gary Jr, Melissa, Angela and Shannon (Gary) and 22 great-grandchildren and nephews.

Mom will be forever remembered by everyone whose life she touched will be deeply missed.

Mass of Christian Burial 11a.m., Thursday June 2, 2022 at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, 476 Mull Ave. in Akron, where friends may call 10-11a.m. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. There will be a reception following at Guy’s Party Center with food and refreshments.
