Margaret U. Reaman, age 95, died peacefully on January 1, 2021. A loving and beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she was born Feb. 23, 1925 in Philadelphia and resided in Cuyahoga Falls for more than 65 years. She met the love of her life, Harold on a blind date, and they were married shortly after. They were side by side for forty years until his passing. Along with Harold, she was a faithful, charter member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish and served in multiple ministries. Her dedication and service through the decades earned her parish Woman of the Year. Her faith was unmatched.
Margaret was the quintessential homemaker and devout mother. She was known for impeccable cleaning and tidiness and delicious cooking and baking. She was proud of her Italian and Lithuanian heritage including preparing her famous Lithuanian Christmas Eve dinner.
She thoroughly enjoyed attending all the grandkids events and activities. She held a special place in her heart vacationing with family and friends at the Jersey Shore. Margaret was an avid gardener and plant keeper even winning a city beautification award for nicest landscaping. She loved to watch and feed the birds, particularly chickadees, and she cursed the squirrels. She enjoyed walking and even participated in the Immaculate Heart of Mary school fundraiser mile fun walk just months after fracturing her hip. Margaret became an avid LeBron James and Cleveland Cavaliers fan and was thrilled to attend a Cavs game while meeting several players before and after the game. She had to leave the room with her head down on a table in 2016 at the end of Game 7 when the Cavs won the championship because she was too nervous to watch.
Margaret’s door was always open to others. She was friend with a golden heart and blessed to have so many special, loving and lifetime friends. She was champion for the common man’s cause. To some it is a matter of giving back as you age; to Margaret it was a matter of giving throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold J. Reaman in 1985; her beloved brother, Anthony and is survived by five sons, Gregory (Susan), Mark (Colleen), Jeffrey (Susan), Brian (Jodi) and Kevin (Teo), 13 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. The family would like to extend a special heartfelt thank you to dear friend Jayne for her dedicated love and care for Margaret.
A private Mass of Christian Burial is planned. A memorial Mass and celebration will follow at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Immaculate Heart of Mary Father McIntyre Fund, the Father McCann Fund, or the Immaculate Heart of Mary Ministry for the Needy.
