Obituary

An angel on Earth has now earned her Heavenly wings ...

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Margaret M. Moirano (Summers), who went home to Heaven peacefully on August 29, 2023.

Margaret was born on December 2, 1929. Margaret took great pride in staying home to raise her children and maintaining the loving environment that she and her husband built together. She especially loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who brought so much joy to her life. They all lovingly refer to her simply as “Ma”, and she embraced that role with unconditional love and care. Margaret was a homemaker and seamstress. She loved to sew. She made many special and beautiful items for her family and friends, including school clothes, wedding gowns, bridal party dresses, baptism outfits, and more Barbie clothes than we could ever count. Margaret loved to garden and loved growing and learning about flowers. She loved to cook and be in her kitchen. She loved taking rides and road trips, and she never minded the occasions when getting lost just meant finding someplace new to see. Margaret was a kind and gentle soul with a quick wit that was sure to bring a smile.

Margaret was truly loved by all that knew her. She shared so much wisdom and knowledge with her family that her legacy will be carried on through generations to come. She will be dearly and deeply missed and forever cherished.

Margaret is survived by her daughter Peggy Moirano (Dan Hawke); her son Mike Moirano; son-in-law Duane Sarac-Moirano; granddaughter Jeane (Steve) Caulk and their children - Drew Kline (Dylan), Ryan Caulk, and Samantha (Dallas) Crowder; granddaughter Michelle (Bill) Leporis and their children - Austin (Talitha), Gavin, and Maggie; granddaughter Lisa (Mike) Lattea and their children Tyler and Abigail; granddaughter Mandy (John) Settle; sister-in-law Patricia Moirano along with many nieces, nephews, and friends; and her dear friend, Ida Mann.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, James Cloyd and Louise Summers; siblings Mary Elizabeth, Edith (Henderson), Benjamin, Raynor Roy, Darrell McGill and Harry McGill; beloved husband Joseph (Babe) Moirano, Jr.; son Joey; and son Gary and his wife, Val; along with brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws who meant a great deal to her.

The family will hold a private memorial at a later time. We ask that you pray for peace in this time of heartbreak and grief and hold close all the memories you may have shared with Margaret.

We know you will watch over us, our special Angel. You are forever loved.

You were a true blessing to our lives and will remain in our hearts forever.
