Margaret “Peggy” Franchino passed peacefully away on August 30, 2024. She was 91 years old.
Born on September 10, 1932, she was raised in Akron, Ohio and graduated from Buchtel High School.
After graduation, she met the love of her life Tony Franchino and was married for 64 years. She had two
children, Debi and Bob, raising her family in Cuyahoga Falls.
Peggy was a proud homemaker and dedicated employee at First National Bank. After retiring, Tony and
Peggy enjoyed volunteering with AT&T Pioneers Organization and loved to travel to Myrtle Beach, Las
Vegas and visiting coastal lighthouses for vacations.
Peggy was kind, loving and cherished spending time with her family, especially watching all her great-
grandchildren laugh and play together. She will be greatly missed, and her family is comforted that she
has been reunited with her Tony.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Tony and daughter, Debi.
She is survived by her son, Robert; grandchildren, Jennifer Plona (Brian), Joseph (Abbie), Nicholas
Huscroft (Amanda), Eric Franchino (Diana); 10 great-grandchildren; brother Stan Flanders.
She will be placed to rest at Northlawn Memorial Gardens in Cuyahoga Falls. There will be no public
services.
