Lorie (Shaver) Ollom, 67, passed away on October 30, 2021. She was preceded in death by her brother, Greg, her mother, Deloris “Dee” Shaver Muncy, and her father, Robert “Bob” Shaver.
She is survived by her daughter, Jessica (Cale) Satterlee and her grandsons Asher and Bowen. Also left to mourn her passing are her sister Kelle (Rick) Maselli, her brother Flynn Muncy,
her brother Todd (Holly) Shaver and stepmother Nancy Shaver, her nephews Jason, Alex and Nick, her niece Casey, great niece Ambria, great nephews Jordan, Evan, Gary, Jay and Logan
and great-great niece Zendaya.
Lorie was born in Akron, Ohio and enjoyed growing up with her sister and brother and countless cousins. She participated in competitive swimming while in school, and continued that love of
the water into adulthood. She was a single mother to Jessica for many years before marrying Jack Ollom and moving to Wadsworth, Ohio. For many years, Lorie organized the best
Halloween and birthday parties, trips to concerts and sleepovers. She adored her great niece and nephews and attended every sporting event and choir concert and gushed about them at
every opportunity. Lorie later began working in retail and did so for several years at Alvin’s Jewelers, One of a Kind Pet Rescue and Home Depot. In her final years, the joy of her life was
her 2 young grandsons. Lorie was always the life of the party. If there was music, she was dancing, and she was
grabbing anybody else she could to join her. She absolutely loved kids and could usually be found getting into or causing trouble with them. She loved to cook, and showed her love to
others through her favorite recipes. She was not afraid to tell people how she felt, and we could always count on her to help us get things done, even if that meant “pulling a Lorie.” She fought
big, but loved bigger.
The family will receive visitors on Saturday, November 6th, 2021 from 10:00am to 1:00pm at Ciriello and Carr Funeral Home, 39 S. Miller Rd., Fairlawn, Ohio, 44333. In accordance with
