Lois May (Sue) Loney

Lois May (Sue) Loney, age 93, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2023 at The Village of St Edward in Fairlawn, Ohio. She was born on October 11, 1929 in Wadsworth, Ohio and is preceded in death by her daughter Vicki Loney, husband Richard G. (Dick) Loney, sister Harvetta Gammell and twin brothers Bob and Dick Stuart.   

Sue loved to sew and created the softest blankets for her many children and grandchildren. She cherished the fun and laughter shared at UNO and Password “game nights” with her family. During her professional years she worked from home as the secretary for the Cleveland Psychological Association. A great day for Sue was sitting in the car next to her husband Dick and driving off to some unknown location in and around Ohio. They spent countless hours on the road together discovering many beautiful locations all over our state. Before moving to the Village at St Edwards, Sue lived in Cuyahoga Falls in a quant little house that she just loved. 

Sue was a loving mother of five children, Teresa Sundey (Frank) of Bolder City, Nevada, Jeff Young (Barb) of Wadsworth, OH, Vicki Loney (deceased), Rich Loney (Tricia) of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, and Valerie Alberts of Olmstead Falls, OH. She was also a proud grandmother to 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. 

Calling hours will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio on Friday, July 7, 2003 at 10:00 am with a memorial service immediately following.
