Leo B. Stadler 

March 22, 1955 - January 24, 2025 

Leo B. Stadler, Jr., 69, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2025. Born and raised in Akron, Ohio, Leo graduated from St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in 1973. He went on to attend the Ohio Police Officers Training Academy, fulfilling his lifelong dream of serving his community as a police officer.

Leo was the son of the late Leo B. Stadler, Sr. and Mary C. Gerraghty. He is survived by his children, RosaLia (Bailey) and John; his sister, Nora; and his niece, Caitlin, along with many dear family members and friends. As he often said, his children were the pride and joy of his life, and he loved supporting them in all of their endeavors.

An avid Ohio sports fan, Leo attended every Browns, Guardians, and Cavaliers game he could, though his true passion was for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. He loved walking the campus in South Bend, especially during the fall.

Leo had a gift for making friends wherever he went. He made everyone he met feel heard, seen, and loved no matter how brief their interaction. He considered every doctor or nurse he met over the years a friend.

Leo’s family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful caregivers at Hines Hill Senior Living and Echo Hospice.

Funeral arrangements will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Ciriello and Carr Funeral Home (810 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221). Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by a prayer service officiated by Father Norm Douglas at 12:00 p.m.

The family invites guests to wear or bring their favorite Ohio or Notre Dame sports gear in honor of Leo.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Parish in Akron, Ohio.
