Leo Spishak Obituary

Leo L. Spishak, 92 , from Cuyahoga Falls OH, passed away peacefully at his residence on Thursday August 15, 2024.
Leo was born on October 26, 1931 to John and Mary Spishak in Johnstown PA. After joining the US Army and serving in Korea, Leo graduated from St. Francis in PA. After marrying his wife Eleanor, they soon landed in Cuyahoga Falls, OH. Leo retired from GM (Terex Division) but continued his career in music playing the piano. 

Leo was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church where he was involved with the RCIA and multiple activities. Leo will be fondly remembered by his love and passion for music and especially performing on the piano and harmonica. He was also a member of The Knights of Columbus, VFW and was a member of the ROMEOS (Retired Old Men Eating Out) He was a dear friend to so many and his genuine joy for life and positive attitude will be missed by all who knew him.

He is now united in Heaven with his wife Eleanor Elaine Leonardis Spishak and his grandson Ryan Charles Cassidy. Leo is survived by his daughter Diane Marie his son David Gerard Spishak (Pam) and a great granddaughter Fionna Cassidy. He is also survived by his two brothers Father Carl Spishak of Altoona, PA and Paul Spishak of Vienna , VA and several nieces and nephews. And a special heart felt thanks to the Community at Danbury for their wonderful friendship throughout the years.

Calling hours will be held Monday 5:00-7:00 PM at Ciriello and Carr Funeral Home, 810 Portage Trail Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church Cuyahoga Falls, OH.

Private inurnment at Oakwood Cemetery.
