Leo Mernagh, 95, a lifetime resident of Summit County passed away November 14, 2022.
Mr. Mernagh was born on March 10, 1927 in Akron, Ohio to George and Lillian Mernagh.
Most of his professional life was devoted to real estate, more than 40 years. He was a former director of the Akron Real Estate Board and was voted salesman of the year in 1966.
He worked at Goodyear Aerospace in Akron in summer vacations from South High School in 1943 and 1944 before joining before joining the Navy in WW II.
He enjoyed working in the yards of the many homes his family lived in. He was an avid golfer, but his family always came first. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Stow, Ohio.
Mr Mernagh was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Blanche of 57 years; and his sister, Frances Mernagh.
He is survived by his son, Dan (Suzann) of Akron; daughters, Jean (Ron) Kline of Kent, Alice Mernagh of Stow; sisters, Ruth (Doc) Waller of Reidsville, North Carolina, Helen Jacobs of Tucson, Arizona, Florence Mernagh of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, Dorothy Doherty of Gahanna, Ohio, Mary (Jerry) Agrima of Wichita Falls, Texas, Rose Andreas of Largo, Florida; thirteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be held 1:30 Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at Holy Cross Cemetery.
