Lawrence (Larry) J. Kouri, Jr.

Lawrence (Larry) J. Kouri Jr. died peacefully on March 29, 2021 surrounded by his wife and two daughters.

Larry was born in Akron, and attended Archbishop Hoban High School where he found a passion for wrestling. Larry pursued a career in law, in which he worked as an officer with Stark County, The University of Akron, and Walsh University. While working full time, he achieved a Bachelors of Science in Political Science and a Masters in Public Administration. He worked hard to create a comfortable life for his wife and two daughters; Ashley and Lauren. During his downtime, he loved drawing cartoons of friends as well as coworkers. Larry also enjoyed movies, often creating low-budget films with his trusty camcorder. 

Memories of Larry will continue to bring a smile to the faces of those who were lucky enough to be a part of his life. With his unending humor and dedication, he will be cherished forever.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Marilyn and Lawrence. He is survived by beloved wife, Doreen; and daughters, Ashley and Lauren. 

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11am Thursday, April 8th at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, 476 Mull Ave. in Akron, where friends may call 10am until Mass time.
