Lawrence Ciarrochi, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, died peacefully on the morning of June 7, 2021 at the Justin T. Rogers Hospice Care Center in Akron, Ohio. He was born in Akron, Ohio on March 29, 1933 to Peter and Lucy Ciarrochi. He married his sweetheart, Marianne Narzisi and together, they built a life and raised their family in Northeast Ohio.
Larry was a kind man, quick to share a laugh and steadfast in his faith. He loved God, his wife and his family fiercely. After serving in the armed forces, Larry worked for Narzisi Construction Co. and later retired from the University of Akron’s carpentry shop. Larry loved nothing more than seeing those he cared for gathered together. He always enjoyed summer picnics, family poker nights and long walks with his family. No matter the occasion, his homemade meatballs and sauce were always in demand. He was a larger-than-life figure who remained strong in body and spirit throughout his days. Those who knew him will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Marianne; three brothers and five sisters. He is survived by his sister, Geraldine (Antognoli); his four children, Jon, Stephen, Phillip (Zara) and Christine (Jason); his grandchildren, Jacqueline, Justin, Cory and Tawn; and his beloved great-grandchildren, Andres, Kayleigh, Isabella, Elliot and Clementine.
