Julia Helen Sabbagh,87, of Akron, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2022 after a brief illness, at Altercare Nursing Facility of Wadsworth.
Born on November 20, 1934 to the late George and Agnes Sabbagh, she was a life resident of the Akron area and most recently lived at Cardinal Retirement Village in Cuyahoga Falls.
She worked as a secretary for Ohio Edison and Fairlawn Supply for over 30 years. She had a beloved cat named Cinder.
After retirement, her love of animals led her to a part-time business of cat & dog sitting for many clients. She also taught ballroom dancing for many years at Fred Astaire and Arthur Murray School of Dance, where she built lasting friendships with many of her clients.
Julia was a loving aunt to numerous nieces and nephews, whom she loved as if they were her own children. She was blessed to have found true love in the last few years of her life with Dick Buhler, now residing in Florida. Her family is grateful to him for the joy & happiness he brought to her. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Joe; and sisters, Josephine Tolbert and Lena Colby. Julia is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be held 12 noon Saturday, November 19, at Ciriello & Carr Funeral Home, 39 S. Miller Rd., Fairlawn. Visitation will precede service from 10:00 am to 12:00. Burial to follow at Mount Peace Cemetery, Akron.
