John T. Ricchiuto

John T. Ricchiuto passed away peacefully on September 17, 2022. He was born in Akron and grew up in North Hill. He graduated from North High School in 1951 and entered the Navy. He came out of the service and married one of the best (Frances M. Cozzoli) and moved to Cuyahoga Falls to raise their family. A man of integrity, he was totally devoted to his family. He worked in food sales his whole career until retiring in in 1995.

Preceded in death Frances; brother Vince Ricchiuto; and sister, Elenore Angiulo. He loved his music, dancing and singing in the choir at IHM for over 50 years. He also enjoyed greatly his many activities with his friends and social groups.

He is survived by his children, Joanne M. Hiscar (Edward), John Vincent Ricchiuto; sister, Irma Modugno; grandchildren, Lisa Foster, Frankie Straight, Nina Ricchiuto; and great-granddaughter, Lennon Straight.

Calling hours 4-7p.m. Wednesday at Ciriello and Carr Funeral Home, 810 Portage Tr. in Cuyahoga Falls, where the Sons of Italy will have a service at 6:45p.m. Mass of Christian Burial 10a.m. Thursday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
