Jean M. (Cahill) Nuss

Jean M. (Cahill) Nuss, age 98, passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2020.

Jean was born in Akron and retired from The General Metals Powder Company in 1985 with 31 years of service. She spent most of her adult years living in Firestone Park with her beloved husband Herman.

After Herman's death in 2002, Jean and her sister Eleanor moved to Cardinal Retirement Village in Cuyahoga Falls. Jean later moved to Francesca Residence on N. Portage Path. Jean was very happy there but due to declining health moved to Chapel Hill Community where she received compassionate care from the nurses and aides.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Herman J. Nuss; sister, Eleanor Cahill; and brother, Martin Cahill.

She is survived by sister-in-law, Colleen Cahill and many nieces and nephews. She will be especially missed by nephews, Fred Dougan and Andrew (Kris) Nuss.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 4th at 10am at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 4019 Manchester Rd. Akron, Ohio 44319. Masks and social distancing protocols will be observed.

Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
