Janice Gail Peyak

Janice Gail Peyak, 72, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2025, after a long illness surrounded
by her family. She was born on May 9, 1952, in Akron, OH. She was a 1970 graduate of
Cuyahoga Falls High School and a graduate of the University of Akron. She worked at Firestone
Tire and Rubber Co. before moving to Phoenix, AZ where she worked at Phoenix Memorial and
St. Luke’s Hospitals in Health Information Technology.

Janice loved the desert, hiking, running and many outdoor activities. She loved the Grand
Canyon and hiked it many times. She was a lifelong baseball fan, loving both the Cleveland
Indians and Arizona Diamondbacks. Janice was also a lifelong United Church of Christ member
in Ohio and Arizona.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Dorothy Peyak. She leaves behind
sisters Nancy Jensen (Gary), Paula Peyak, Carol Ann Frederick (Ed) and brother Bobby Peyak
(Martha); nephews/nieces Andrew Jensen (Misty), Eric Jensen (Sarah), Aimee Boland (Jeremiah)
and Eddie Frederick (Monica) and numerous great nephews and nieces, and cousins.

Pastor Kim Mislin Cran will officiate funeral services at 11:00 am on Thursday March 6, 2025, at
Ciriello and Carr Funeral Home, 810 Portage Trail in Cuyahoga Falls where friends may call at
10:00 am until service time. Interment will be at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cuyahoga Valley National Parks or the
Humane Society of Summit County.
