Janice Israel

Janice Israel (Jackie Treat) 81, passed away 3/8/2025 after a short illness. Janice was born in

Coshocton, Ohio on 3/25/1943. Janice graduated from Newcomerstown High School in 1961.

Janice retired from Buckingham, Dolittle and Burrows as a legal secretary for over 30 years.

She was a member of Falls Creek Church, a former member of The Red Hats, former president

of The Greater Akron Legal Secretaries, and Akron Toastmistress. Janice loved to play cards,

especially Bridge and Euchre. Janice will be remembered for her devotion to her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents Doris and Robert Treat and her brother Richard Treat.

She is survived by her husband Jeffrey Israel; daughter Jeniece (Ken) Schering; grandchildren Michael Lowe, Erik Lowe, Ellie (Cobin) Plessinger; sister Delores Guy, brother William (Becky) Treat, and many Nieces and Nephews and friends.

Calling hours 4-7pm Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Ciriello & Carr Funeral Home, 810 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221, where Funeral Services will be held, 11am Friday, March 14, 2025.

Interment Westlawn Cemetery in Newcomers town.
