Of German descent, born on May 1, 1942 in the village of Schnedowitz located in Bohemia, Sudatenland, Czech Republic to genteel hops farmer, Anton Massel, and Marie Dobiasch. She is the youngest (by eight years) of five children, Herbert, Marianne, Anton, and Annemarie. The Family Massel was expelled from their ancestral home/farm at the end of WW II and given refuge and a loving home by the Family Schoenfeld in Bornheim, Germany. Ingrid completed a two-year commercial study at Hildegardis School Bingen/Rhein on July 1958. Subsequently, to broaden her background, she served as an au pair in Switzerland and England. She had a number of responsible employment positions – NATO, BF Goodrich, Girling, Kimberly Clark, Telxon, and TLT Babcock. She was noted for her people skills and ability to provide high quality service built upon her genuine respect and consideration for all whom she was associated. She traveled broadly and was an avid tennis player and fan. She was married on June 9, 1973 (Pentecost) in Vallendar, Germany to Joseph Palmiero. Joseph is not a widower; his wife is in heaven. She is to be remembered for her genuine love and regard for others.
