Gregory Lynn Van Ho, 76, of Munroe Falls passed away at home surrounded by his family on January 25, 2024.
The son of Betty Van Ho and Wayne Johnson, Greg was born and raised in Paulding County, Ohio. He was a graduate of Payne High School and Heidelberg College, where he met the love of his life, Kay.
Greg worked for several companies and governmental agencies in northeast Ohio. He retired as a Senior Contract Administrator for the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority, where he helped shape the city he loved with projects such as the rebuilding of Tower City, the Waterfront Line, and the Euclid Corridor project. He also served as a member of Euclid City Council for seven years.
Greg is survived by his wife of over fifty-three years, Kay Frances Ann (Babuder) Van Ho; his son and daughter-in-law, Adam VanHo and Tina Merlitti of Munroe Falls; his daughter and son-in-law, Commander Valerie Broznak (USN) and Daniel Broznak of Chesapeake, Virginia; daughter, Dr. Tara Van Ho of Colchester, England; and four grandchildren, Michael and Elizabeth VanHo and Eliana and Micaela Broznak. He is also survived by his sister, Victoria Williams (Keith); brother-in-law, David Babuder (Mary); and several nieces and nephews.
Greg was preceded in death by his mother, Betty; father and step-mother, Wayne and Martha Johnson; parents-in-law, Michael and Elizabeth Babuder; sister, Carrie Van Ho; brothers-in-law, Kirt and Robert Babuder; sister-in-law, Ellen Babuder; and other beloved relatives, friends, and numerous four-legged family members.
Calling hours will occur at Ciriello-Carr Funeral Home at 810 Portage Trail in Cuyahoga Falls on Friday, February 2, 2024 from 4-7PM. The family will receive guests at 10AM at Twin Falls United Methodist Church at 60 North River Road, Munroe Falls on Saturday, February 3, 2024, with a funeral to follow at 10:30AM. Interment at Crown Hill Cemetery.
