Geraldine Gaffney Obituary

Geraldine “Gerry” Gaffney

Joining her beloved husband, Jim, Gerry passed away on January 27, 2021 after a full life of loving her family and friends.

Gerry enjoyed being a leader with her daughters Brownie and Girl Scout troops, vacationing in Florida with her husband Jim, and was a long time member of Grace Baptist Church. She also loved her dog, Maggie and playing bingo with her sister, Maxine.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Maplewood of Cuyahoga Falls for their wonderful quality of care, love, compassion and support provided to Gerry for the last two years.

Gerry was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Jim; her sister, Maxine; and her two brothers, Bud and Don. She is survived by her son, Jim (Lucy); her daughter, Terri; her daughter, Debbie (Mike) Nelson; and youngest son, Doug; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

If desired, donations may be made to Grace Baptist Church, 704 N. Firestone Blvd., Akron,OH 44306 in memory of Gerry.

With heavy hearts, to protect our family and friends from the current health crisis, the family has decided there will be no calling hours or funeral service at this time. A private graveside service is planned at Chestnut Hill Cemetery. Your thoughts and prayers have already honored Gerry and her family.

Rest in peace Mom, together again with Dad.
