George M. Zubovic

George M. Zubovic, 95, of Cuyahoga Falls passed away August 28, 2021 at Western Reserve Hospital.
 

A veteran of the U.S. Army, he honorably served in the 43rd Division during W.W. II. He earned the Combat Infantry Badge for his service.

He was a former member of Christ the King Church in Akron and has been a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church since 1961. George was also a member of the Croatian Fraternal Union Lodge #699 and the Knights of Columbus #2362 of Cuyahoga Falls.

He retired from AT&T in 1985 after serving 35 years and was self-employed for 10 years.

His hobbies included bowling and gardening.

He was preceded in death by wife, Katherine, and is survived by sons, Michael (Mary) Zubovic of Seattle, WA and James of Stow; daughters, Yvonne of Ft. Wayne, IN and Denise of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren, Tommy Zubovic, Annie (John) Salinas, Julie (Cody) Harrold and Antoine Smith and 4 great-grandchildren.

Private services will be held with interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
