George Edward Huffman

George Edward Huffman, age 81, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. George was born on February 2, 1942 in Akron to Wallace and Ruth (Yahner) Huffman.

George was a graduate of St. Mary's and worked for Goodyear for 39 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, John; and sister, Mary Louise Kerlee. George was devoted to his family and his faith. George enjoyed spending time with his family, being outside and talking about the rich local history.

George is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Rosemary whom he was truly devoted to and enjoyed being together whether it was out walking, bike riding, yard work or traveling the world. He will be greatly missed as well by his children, Teresa and Ed (wife Ginniann); and his treasured grandchildren, Tobin (fiance Madelyn), McGee and James. George is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews as well as several close family friends.

Funeral services will be held 12p.m. Thursday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 1905 Portage Tr. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223, where calling hours will be held 10-12. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Fr. McCann Fund at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.
