Elizabeth Evans Obituary

Elizabeth Becker Prinz Evans, 94

Elizabeth went home to be with the lord and her beloved heavenly family on February 11, 2025.
She was born on August 17, 1930, in Akron, OH to Konrad and Eva Becker.

Elizabeth was in banking for 40 years, beginning her career at Firestone Bank, then Bank One,
and finally, J.P. Morgan Chase. Although never being formally trained, she worked her way
through the ranks from bookkeeper, 1st woman mortgage loan office, and assistant bank
manager. Breaking down barriers and leading the way for woman by being the first woman
officer at Firestone Bank.

She was a social butterfly- belonging to the old Firestone Country Club, Akron Woman’s City
Club, Fairlawn City Women’s Club, Fairlawn Lutheran Church, Past President, and Forever
Young. She also was a volunteer at Akron General Hospital from 1991-2016.

She was not only a beautiful person on the inside, but on the outside as well. She was on the
best dressed woman list of Akron and was a hat model for many years. If you ever had the
pleasure of meeting Elizabeth, she would always be dressed to impress, with matching jewelry,
and of course, her signature lipstick.

Elizabeth was a lover of travel and spent her spare time seeing the world and what God had
created. She especially loved to go on cruises, generously taking her family along to share the
joy.

She is proceeded in death by her parents Konrad and Eva Becker, her brother Konrad Becker III,
and her husband’s Edgar Prinz and Dr. Ralph W. Evans.

She leaves behind her nieces and nephews Karen, Konrad, Kyle, and Karly Becker.

There will be no services, and the family will hold a private burial. They would especially like to
thank Concordia Nursing Staff and Ohio Living Hospice for their tender care of Elizabeth.

May we all make the choice to live like Elizabeth. Buy that dress, book that vacation, treat
yourself to a fancy meal. She enjoyed her life to the fullest and was authentically herself.
