Edward J. Toth

Edward J Toth, age 82, passed peacefully with his wife of 60 years, Barbara, at his side on Thursday, September 21, 2023. Loving father of Laura McCollum, husband, Mark, and his son, Brian Toth, wife, Kristine. Grandfather to Bailey, Christopher, Bretton, Cole, Lucas, and Lyla. He was the son of the late Edward S .Toth and Irene Nagy. Brother of Robert Toth, wife, Linda, and the late Wilma Whitehead and Patricia Phillips. Uncle to many, especially Jennifer Toth and her children. 

Born April 30, 1941 in Cleveland, Ohio and attended Benedictine High School. He was the first in his family to graduate from college,  with a Bachelor of  Arts Degree in Accounting from Ohio University. Ed was an Akron area resident for over 50 years. He began his career with the B. F. Goodrich Company.and culminated it with the co-ownership of the Metzger Photo Supply Company. 

He enjoyed traveling, especially with his family. He was a Harley motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed taking his antique cars to many shows. He also had a passion for train collections.

Funeral mass will be at 1:30 PM on Friday, October 6 at Saint Hilary Catholic Church, Fairlawn, Ohio. Visitation at the church is at 1 PM

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Benedictine High School, 2900 Martin Luther King Dr., Cleveland 44104.
