Jeannie (Dorothy) Urban passed from this world into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 14, 2025 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Jeannie was born on June 9, 1956 to the late Lester and Sybil Urban.
She lived in Ohio most of her life except for a short stent in Indiana and four years in Florida. She was quick witted and funny as well as a notorious joke teller. She made friends everywhere.
Jeannie spent most of her professional life in the auto industry working for Spitzer Chevrolet and several other dealerships over her lengthy career as a successful Finance Manager. She was very much a people person and was respected and dearly loved.
She was an animal activist. Her soft spot was for cats in particular which brought her much comfort and happiness.
She is survived by sisters Linda Goodyear-Gregory (Tom) of Sarasota, FL, Kimberly Tanner of Akron, and Gwen Miller-Callas of Bluffton, SC. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to mourn her passing.
Visitation will take place at Ciriello and Carr Funeral Home at 810 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221 on Wednesday April 23, 2025 from 4 pm -7 pm.
A celebration of life, to honor Jeannie, is being planned for July 2025.
