Donald Slider

Don Slider (1947–2025) Don Slider, 77, passed away suddenly at his home on May 26, 2025, due to a heart attack. A beloved family member, friend, and member of his community, Don lived a life full of love, kindness, and wisdom.

Born in West Virginia, Don spent his early years cultivating a love for fishing and outdoor activities. He proudly served in the United States Army for 12 years, including during the Vietnam War, demonstrating unwavering dedication and courage. His service to his country was a reflection of his strong sense of duty and commitment to protecting others.

Following his military career, Don retired and dedicated his life to supporting military functions and ceremonies and touching the lives of many with his generosity and unwavering support. In his spare time, Don loved to go fishing and bowling.

He is survived by his wife (Suki), his son (Bobby) and 2 grandchildren (Michael and Katelyn) Don’s legacy will continue through the values he instilled in his family and the many friendships he cherished.

Funeral services will be held, Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 1pm at Ciriello & Carr Funeral Home, 810 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, OH where friends may call from 11am – 1pm.

Interment with Military Honors to follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
