Dolores Garman, 90, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026.
Dee was born in Akron, Ohio, and resided in Cuyahoga Falls her entire life. She graduated from
Saint Vincent High School in Akron and continued her education at Kent State University
earning her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She later went on to earn her master’s
degree from the University of Akron. She began her teaching career at Betty Jane School in Akron,
also taught at Saint Joseph School in Cuyahoga Falls, and was Principal at Immaculate Conception
School in Kenmore. She finished her career at Walsh Jesuit High School where she was a
Reading Specialist. Teaching was truly one of her greatest joys.
She was an active parishioner at Sant Joseph Church in Cuyahoga Falls and will be
remembered for her devotion to her family, her delicious cooking and baking, and sewing
PJ’s for her great grandkids.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Ondas. She is survived by husband Denis, her sister
Barbara Falletta, daughters Terri (Todd) Earnest, Sue (Charlie) Ligman, son John (Barb) Shaffer,
Stepdaughter Meredith Garman, Stepson Eric (Mindy) Garman, 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren,
and beloved friends.
A mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at 11:00am at The Village
of St Edward Chapel, 3131 Smith Road, Fairlawn, OH 44333. Where family and friends can call one
hour prior. Internment will take place at Ohio Western Reserve Cemetery.
