Dennis J Myers

Dennis J. Myers, 87 of Cuyahoga Falls passed away April 4, 2022.
He was born in Akron on March 9, 1935 to Robert and Helen Myers. Dennis was a graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1953, where he met the love of his life, Marlene Joy. Dennis served proudly in the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged as a Korean War veteran. Dennis spent his entire professional career with the Federal Aviation Administration as a Air Traffic Controller and retired with distinction after 30 plus years. After he retired, Dennis was an instructor at the Air Traffic Control Academy in Oklahoma City.
Dennis was an avid reader and participant in America’s political process. He was interested in military history and corresponded with the Library of Congress on related topics. Dennis enjoyed music and was particularly fond of opera and Broadway musicals. Our family will always remember the happy times we spent together, He was an intelligent and thoughtful person with a smile and kind word for everyone. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Dennis was married for 63 years to our mother, Marlene Myers who passed in 2019. They enjoyed a fulfilling life together and we are grateful for their love and friendship. Dennis is survived by his son Jeff, daughter Laurie, and son Bob; Grandchildren, Meagan, Madison, Gregory, Shannon, and Robert; Great grandchildren, Carter, Lawson, Emilia, Chase, Callie, Aurora, and Loralei.
